What is the composition of general ink?
The main components of ink are polymerized prepolymer, photosensitive monomer, photoinitiator, auxiliary ingredients are pigments, fillers, additives, etc.
1. Polymerization prepolymer.
Polymerized prepolymer is an important component to UV light oil coating performance, is the most basic component of UV ink, is a film-forming material, performance after the curing process and curing ink film properties play an important role.
2. Photosensitive monomer (reactive diluent)
UV ink and UV light oil in the coating need to be adapted to the viscosity of the coating machine, usually by adding 20% ~ 80% of the monomer to lower the viscosity of the prepolymer, monomer itself happened at the same time, become a part of the cured film. The active diluent is also called crosslinking monomer, and its function is to adjust the viscosity, curing speed and curing membrane properties of the ink. When choosing a monomer, follow these principles:
(1) low viscosity and good dilution effect;
(2) fast curing;
(3) good adhesion to materials;
(4) small skin irritation and small toxicity;
(5) leave no smell in the coating.
3. Photoinitiator
Photoinitiator is a material that can absorb radiant energy and produce active intermediates with initiator polymerization ability after chemical changes. It is also the main component of any UV curing system. The photoinitiator can be divided into hydrogen capture and cracking type. The dehydrogenation type is required to cooperate with a compound containing active hydrogen (commonly known as a promoter), which forms free radicals and is a bimolecular photoinitiator by taking hydrogen reaction. Pyrolysis is a photoinitiator, which is decomposed into free radicals in the molecule after the laser hair.
4. Other additives.
Auxiliaries are mainly used to improve the performance of the ink, UV ink commonly used additives have stabilizers, leveling agents, antifoaming agents, dispersants, wax and so on.
